Many years ago, I had the opportunity to practice portrait techniques. I learnt about backgrounds, lighting techniques, poses, and expressions, all in a controlled environment.
When we got Abby, we hung some feeders around, so she had something to keep her occupied.
Four years later, I am photographing the birds who have been attracted to what is now our "Garden Studio" and Abby could care less about the birds.
Some are local residents, some are "passers-by" on their journeys. I wondered if I could capture them, almost as though, we were "one on one" in a natural setting. I hoped that I could catch a glimpse of their personalities whilst we were "Up Close and Personal".
Linda's favorite is the Black Capped Chickadee, mine is the Rose Breasted Grosbeak.
Which one is your favorite?
